Honda Civic and Honda Civic Hybrid: Know More About Them (with many pictures)

The History of Honda Civic

The Honda Civic is a compact car manufactured by Honda. It was introduced in July 1972 as a two-door coupe, followed by a three-door version that September. With transverse engine mounting of its 1169 cc engine and front-wheel drive like the British Mini, the car provided good interior space despite overall small dimensions.

Early models of the Civic were typically outfitted with a basic AM radio, a rudimentary heater, foam-cushioned plastic trim, two-speed wipers and painted steel rims with a chromed wheel nut cap. The current Civic has become much more luxurious with satellite-linked navigation, a six-speed manual transmission, air conditioning, power locks, and power windows.

Chevrolet Camaro: the old and the new one

The Old Camaro

The Chevrolet Camaro is a “pony car” made in North America by the Chevrolet Motor Division of General Motors. It was introduced on 26 September 1966 as a 1967 model year and was designed as a competing model to the Ford Mustang. The car shared the platform and major components with the Pontiac Firebird, also introduced in 1967. Four distinct generations of the car were produced before production ended in 2002. A new Camaro is expected to roll off assembly lines in January 2009.

Though the car’s name was contrived with no meaning, Chevrolet researchers reportedly found the word in a French dictionary as variation of informal speech (slang) for “friend”, “chum”, or “companion.” In some automotive periodicals before official release, it was code-named “Panther”, however, the project designation for the Camaro was XP-836 and some early GM photos show the final Camaro body labeled “Chaparral”.

The Mustang had the most successful car launching in automobile history, selling, in its first eighteen months, more than one million cars (yes, 1,000,000 cars). The Mustang created the “pony car” model of automobiles — the sports car’s “long hood, short deck” design. Buying a New or Used Car From a Dealer

Honda civic used

Car buying is very complicated, and for many people it’s unpleasant, and for good reason. New cars are pure purchase and assured depreciation, except in the rarest of circumstances. So of course it’s intimidating, but you can do it with our help. The secret is understanding where the dealer’s profit comes from — and knowing when it’s time to forget about all that and shop as you would for a good deal on any product.
